No. 13

  • Dominated by an expansive red field, the canvas is bordered by golden passages that frame the composition. Dark green and blue forms provide structural weight, while purple and violet areas in the lower section create chromatic balance.

The paint is rubbed and stained into the surface, resulting in soft transitions that unify the color relationships.

This work continues the tradition of post-war American color field painting, emphasizing the expressive potential of large-scale chromatic relationships over narrative content.
