THE ACRYLICS

The Acrylics project began after encountering a minimalist painting featuring a bold, organic shape on a simple backdrop. Inspired by its style, Ian set out to replicate its essence, but struggled as his vision failed to translate from thought to form. What started as a creative exploration soon became an exercise in frustration, as the difficulty lay in bridging the gap between how he envisioned the work and how it actually looked.

 

The result of this struggle is what you see today—a reflection of the challenging journey from inspiration to creation, capturing the tension between vision, execution, and the unexpected outcomes of the artistic process
